What we like
Watch out for
Yamaha's R7 is what happens when you take the MT-07 motor and dress it in full fairing aggression. The 689cc CP2 parallel twin is a revelatory engine — it pulls strongly from low revs, rewards high-revving runs with a grin-inducing rush, and emits a bark through the stubby exhaust that sounds purposeful without drawing unnecessary attention. The chassis is borrowed from the R6's lineage, and it shows: the R7 corners with a precision and feedback that few middleweight supersports can match. Day-long rides don't punish the rider, which separates it from hardcore track-focused competitors. At ₹8.80 L, it is one of the best value-for-money supersport purchases available in India today.
