What we like
Watch out for
Royal Enfield's Super Meteor 650 is the most capable tourer the brand has ever made — and at ₹3.50 lakh, it represents extraordinary value in the cruiser-touring segment. The 648cc parallel twin is the star of the show: butter-smooth at all revs, pulling cleanly from 30 km/h without a downshift and holding 120 km/h cruising speeds without complaint. The low 745mm seat height means most riders can flatfoot with ease, and the wide handlebars reduce fatigue on long hauls. A 15.8-litre tank translates to roughly 380 km of range — enough to cover most day-trip distances on a single fill. The Tripper navigation pod is a clever addition for tourers who rely on maps. Suspension is on the softer side of composed, but that's a deliberate tuning choice that suits the long-distance intent. An outright bargain.
